MilesTone Films is a creative partnership based in York, UK.
MilesTone Films’ founding members are writer-producer-directors Miles Watts & Tony Hipwell, who work internationally with other filmmakers to create independent entertainment.
Formed in 2006, MilesTone Films has made short films, music videos and other online content and four feature films: The BandWagons, which was screened theatrically in 2008; CrimeFighters, which was shown in the 2010 Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Arizona Underground Film Festival & in Picturehouse cinemas around the UK and most recently, black comedy Whoops! and Dogme-esque Amber, both now in post, for release in 2013.
MilesTone Films’ comedy zombie web series Zomblogalypse has garnered a cult international following, with four series online. We are now in pre-production for a Zomblogalypse movie; our fifth feature film shooting in 2013 after we return from Cannes.
We are also working alongside other prominent Yorkshire filmmakers including Before Dawn‘s Dominic Brunt.
As well as developing personal, artistic projects, MilesTone Films supports and nurtures new filmmaking talent by employing trainee & student filmmakers on productions whenever possible.
